#7 Blog about technology

I have added another photo to revise accessing Flickr because I think that is the secret of mastering this technology (or anything for that matter). Familiarity - it becomes easier with practice! It does take awhile to find my way around and becoming familiar with the paths through the wgrlconlinelearning to Dashboard. I accessed this photo through flickr colr pickr. I loved the yellow-green photos.
This technology reminds me of the way we accumulate cards and pin numbers, there is a difficulty in remembering a plethora of sites and passwords and IDs. There is also a fear of signing up for something that will incur cost or privacy invasion or viruses. It takes a while to know what is safe.

#6 More flicr fun

I've been exploring some mash-ups - web applications that combine data from more than one source into a single integrated tool.

For instance, RunningMap was great if you want to go for a run in New York but not so useful for Melbourne or Leongatha.

I know a dancer who lives in Detroit so I fed "dance" and "Detroit" into eparty guide and came up with 120 venue options.

mappr is obviously very useful for combining with other data.

I really enjoyed flickr Colour fields which picked out photos of various colours and shades.

#5 Flickr again

This photo was saved on to my computer from flickr and then uploaded to the blog. We tend to take very little notice of insects until they bite us or splat on a car windscreen but they are a multitudinous, beautiful, diverse, and complex layer of biodiversity.

#5 Flickr

This time I think I really have uploaded a photo - i hope - not a lyrebird and not from flickr but then water lilies can be fairly inspirational - they take me back to the Kimberley. So this may be a small start which I will try and repeat with another photo perhaps from flickr. Meanwhile i have learnt about tags, groups, sets, collections, organizr, groups, and maps.

#5 Flickr

Lyrebirds have been a source of joy and inspiration to me.
