Bloglines Search Tool is easy to use. I found lots of blogs on libraries when I used "libraries" as a search term for feeds.
Feedster is changing and currently unavailable.
Topic.net had news and media outlet RSS feeds.
Google Blog Search was simple to use - once again I fed in libraries.
